Krystyna Sargent Exhibition, 7-13 Apr 2025

Krystyna Sargent's studio relocation to Dorset in 2020 proved to be a catalyst for change of direction in her ceramic work. Originally from Leicester, where she obtained a degree in ceramics, her work has usually reflected the influences of oriental and mythological themes, in line with her studies of Korean tradition and elegant calligraphy that was integral to her training as a Taekwondo instructor – the Korean martial art in which she holds 6th Dan black belt.

Since her move to Weymouth her work has been transformed by the breath-taking nature of the rugged Jurassic coastline, the nature of creation, erosion and transformation and the feeling of freedom in nature. 

All this inspiration has resulted in a new collection of ceramic sculptures entitled World Within Worlds, which will be on show at Cove Gallery from 7-13 April 2025.
