Handmade raku ceramic sculpture by Paul Jenkins
Raku is a Japanese technique for firing ceramics in which the piece is fired to 1000 degrees within an hour and while still red hot it is submerged in sawdust, resulting in a crackled effect where glaze has been applied and a smoked black finish to any unglazed surfaces
