Antonia is a professional artist and member of the Society of Wildlife Artists, exhibiting annually at the Mall Galleries in London. She paints with freedom and energy, from sketches on location and memory, working in acrylic and mixed media. More recently printmaking, especially monoprints, have informed her work; developing her interest in the seascapes and coastal forms, describing the feeling of a place…
She travels when possible, usually to the coastal fringes of the far North, where light and colours are similarly stunning.
Antonia is based in Bridport; trained at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design in Natural History Illustration and Fine Art.
"I am never more at home than walking along the beach or cliff top absorbing the atmosphere, being energised by the weather or on a boat seeing the coast from a different angle. From this perspective it is quite easy to lose one's idea of known coastal shapes, all part of the experience!"
